Scarves, bow ties, cushions, prints
After graduating from the Central Saint Martins School of Art in London, Astrid Sarkissian rounded off her training at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2012, she set up her own brand of scarves, drawing on an original mix of British extravagance and Parisian elegance.
Astrid Sarkissian’s silk designs in the colours of precious gems are mostly inspired by the vanities and gigantism of Gothic architecture. Each textile design tells a story in prettily showcased motifs, rather in the manner of a curio cabinet.
Astrid Sarkissian won the 2013 Coup de Coeur prize at TALENTS DE MODE, organised by the Village des Créateurs.
Astrid Sarkissian will be presenting her accessories: scarves, bow ties, cushions and other silky surprises.
